Summer has gotten really busy (in a good way). I’ve been working with Todd Baxter Photo and that has been a really great learning experience…we even got to photography Andrew Bird this weekend. That was probably the toughest shoot I have ever done, mainly because my allergies came in full force during the shoot.
I have still made time to make work…these are the most recent since my last post (I believe). I looked at all the work I had made and realized there were no portraits…so I’m messing around with those to see what I learn. I’m having a lot of fun with them.
I even started a new series I’ve been planning on for a while (the ones on the left with the flames). The series is about fire is a symbol that represents a difference in our race. Camp fires were important to early humans to keep us warm and cook food, but more importantly to keep us together and develop social skills. Fires are where human interaction beyond survival begins…it also might represent our end.

My boy has become such a real cat. And a fat one at that.
I need to start making work again. It’s starting to weigh on me.
SO. Since I want to eat better, become a better cook and need more photos in my portfolio and for my sanity, starting next week I’m gonna try out recipes and take photos of it all. I wanna go to farmers markets, now that they’re back up and running, and try my hardest to use mostly fresh ingredients. Fresh, yummy, healthy summer meals. And some drinks, too! I need beverage shots. I’ll probably aim for a few new recipes each week, money allowing.
If anyone wants to have any cooking/dinner parties or has any great recipes I should try — send em my way!

Finally…new work
Just graduated college…I have a lot of plans up ahead. However, today I had to just make some new work.
During the Manifest show I really loved the tents and balloons.
