My boy has become such a real cat. And a fat one at that.

I haven’t cut my hair since October or November. My bangs have been becoming so long and bothersome but thanks to my dear cat, Mowgli, half of them are shorter.
It’s a normal endearing thing for cats to nibble on their owner’s hair. Mowgli does it ALL. THE. TIME. And the other day he did it so much that when he left, a chunk of my hair fell out. Luckily it doesn’t look too weird and kinda looks like I got it trimmed that way because my bangs usually go from shorter to longer like this. But still. Jeez. I love you too, Mowgs.
Spring/Summer Hair vs Winter Hair
Somedays I really miss my short choppy hair, but this desire to have long hair/braids/buns still hasn’t gone away. I wonder how long I’ll be able to last.

Saw this amazing artist’s work this weekend on my Milwaukee trip! Totally in love with her art. Check her out: http://www.etsy.com/shop/eekdesign?ref=pr_shop_more

Something in me is shifting this semester. I’m passionate again. I’m excited. I’m eager to photograph. But whats even weirder… I’ve been highly interested in portraits. Perhaps it has to do with my studio 2 class where all we are doing is portraits with awesome new equipment. Or my photojournalism class where I’m realizing how awesome environmental portraits are. Or the fact that I’m living with a talented portraiture photographer who is rubbing off on me :). Either way, I’m feeling so different this semester. And instead of it freaking me out, I’m kinda embracing it.
Here’s to the start of a great semester. Now let’s not jinx it.
